Crue Fest '09

Greg has one of his trucks on the Crue Fest hauling some of the equipment, which is sponsored by Monster drinks. So when they came to Salt Lake we were able to go to the concert with V.I.P. passes! It was a lot fun!!!

Pioneer Day....

The morning of July 24th we headed to Tibble Fork to do a little fishing and 4wheeling with the Parker's! We stopped off at Wal Mart to get some fishing gear and of coarse some treats!! We had a blast!

That night we headed to the Owlz game to enjoy some baseball and fireworks. Well it sounded good but when we got there the weather was looking ugly, so we decided to go get some dinner at JCW's and call it a night! It didn't hurt my feelings that we missed the firework show, It had been a early day and I was ready for bed!!! I think we all were!!!

Sasha and I flew out to Nashville to surprise our friend Jessica for her 30th birthday! Jessica's husband Michael set the whole thing up....what a GREAT guy!!! Needless to say, Jessica was SHOCKED when she answered the front door and saw both Sasha and I standing there at 11 pm no less! It took her a good 10 seconds to recognize that we were there but, when she did her face was PRICELESS!!!!

The first night we stayed at their home. The next day we headed south to Birmingham, Alabama were we stayed for 2 nights...along with her sister April, who was also visiting from Utah! Jessica's sister-in-law Heather who lives in Tennessee met up with us in Alabama along with one of their tennis friends, Rebeca. They where so much fun to be around, I was so glad I had the chance to get to know them...they are HILARIOUS!!!

This is Ross Bridge Resort....the LOVELY place we stayed in Alabama!!! It was SO SO NICE, we didn't want leave when it was time!!! Click on it so you can REALLY see how pretty it was!

When we arrived at our resort, we had to check it out! This pic is in the spa area....SO NICE! You better believe Sasha and I took full advantage of it....massage and all!!!

They had a farmers market at the resort one of the days. This guy and his wife was selling Shea Butter straight from the shea nut! That is the biggest nut I have every seen!!!! LOL ;)

Saturday night we went into town to get some dinner, and to celebrate Jessica's birthday! The place we ate at was 26, it was so yummy!! We had so much fun!

I had so much fun on this nice little getaway! It was kind of like being back in High School with my girls!!! Its nice to know we haven't changed THAT much!! Just add in some husbands and kids that's all!!! hahaha LOL ;) Thanks girls, we really need to do this more often!!!

Happy Birthday Mom....

My mom turned 60 years young on July 8th! She will probably kill me for telling but she did say she was okay with it! If any of you know how my mom is with her age, she never tells you the truth if you ask her! So I was surprised when she said she had come to grips with it!!! Besides, you are only as old as you feel...so my mom is a good 30 years younger!!!
We had a little surprise birthday dinner for her at Olive Garden with the fam! It was a good time, had by all!
Happy Birthday MOM, you are the BEST!! I hope you had a WONDERFUL day, you deserved it!!!!

Happy 4th of July...

We started our 4th of July off with our annual sleep out at Grandma and Grandpa Chipman's house. We all had so much fun. We had some yummy food, the kids played a game of wiffle ball and then we watched Sandlot in the backyard. It started lightening and thundering so all of us headed in, except Greg and Brady. They stayed to ride out the storm...well sort of! It actually didn't end up raining but the lightening was enough for me to say see ya!!!

On the night of the 4th, the Parker's were nice enough to invite us over with Matt's family for a big shindig! We had some good food and fun times! After dinner, Greg and Matt put on their "annuall" firework show!!!

Happy Father's Day! Greg is such an awesome dad! Ashlynn and Mitch adore him so much, he is the BEST!! He truly does so much for our family!!! Thank you for everything...WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!

Chipman's Annual Block Party

It was another great year at the good old annual block party! It seemed like everyone was enjoying themselves! At first Mitch wasn't sure what to think of everyone at HIS grandma and grandpa's house, but he eventually got used to it and was having a FUN time with all the kids!! It is always so much fun to see people I haven't seen in awhile, its kind of like a fun reunion!!! Thanks to my mom, dad and of course the committee for always doing such a great job at putting this all together....we all appreciate it!!

Huck Finn Day....

This is one of the events that Mandy is in charge of for Strawberry Days. It is so much fun for all the kids. They have so much to do. Lets see, they have the donut walk, REAL fishing, face painting, games, pony rides, a pet show and so on! Each year it seems like there are more and more people...SO FUN!

Pie Eating Contest...

Okay, so here is another event Mandy is in charge of. Crazy, I don't know how she does it!! I asked Mitch if he wanted to eat a piece of pie...well of course, HELLO!! He didn't win, well he actually cheated because he used his hands but what did he care, he got to eat some pie!! Ashlynn and Brooke didn't want to be in the contest...too MESSY, I totally understand!!! Bridger and Sami went for it in each of their age groups, they didn't win but it was REALLY close for both of them!!!

After the pie eating contest we went to ride some rides at the Carney!!! That's all the kids had been wanting to do from the minute we drove by as they were setting it up! The Parker's met us there and the kids had a BLAST!

The Parade...
Last but not least, the PARADE! It rained on our parade this year, hahaha! Luckily we had our umbrella's and blankets. Usually it is so HOT at the parade, not this year. It's kind of weird to see the kids in jackets. We still had a fun time, and luckily it didn't rain too hard, just a couple of rain bursts!
