Happy Easter

We had a really good Easter this year, even if it didn't seem like Easter because it was so early this year. We colored eggs the Saturday night so the Easter bunny could hide them! The Easter bunny left a trail of mini eggs from Ashlynn and Mitchell's door to their baskets. Mitchell was in heaven. Finally when he got to his basket he found a football so he was even happier! After church we went up to eat dinner at my parents house. My mom had a easter egg hunt in the backyard for the kids.
After the hunt we went inside and the kids frosted sugar cookies and made a mess, but they had a blast and thats all that counts!!!

Happy Valentines Day

We had a fun Valentines Day. We made homemade heart oreo cookies with pink frosting. We took a plate over to grandma and grandpa Thornton's house and had a nice visit with them. I made Greg's favorite...beef stew. It was a good day!

We had a great Christmas! Ashlynn got her pony that she had been wanting. Mitchell still didn't feel good, but he got his ball and thats all he cared about! We went up to my parents home for breakfast and to open presents. It gets a little crazy with all the grandkids but it is fun. Quint always makes a great breakfast!! Thank you mom and dad for always making Christmas so special. We have a lot of traditions and some may sound a little crazy, like going to McDonald's on Christmas Eve Eve (Dec. 23) for breakfast but when you have been doing it for over 30 years it just wouldn't be right if you didn't keep up the tradition. Thats what makes Christmas so special...all the traditions and my mom always made sure we had them!

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve it is tradition to go to my parents home for a "Christmas Eve Party" This year Mitchell was really sick. Just look at the pictures you can tell. Ashlynn was so excited that night. She got to open one present at Grandma and Grandpa's house. You probably guessed it.....PJ's.
Mitchell did too but he didn't much care what was going on or even if Santa was coming!
