Ashlynn and Mitch's Family Party...

One nice thing about having both Ashlynn and Mitch's birthdays in April is we get to celebrate them together with family! We went to Costco for the birthday cake, I let Ashlynn pick witch one she wanted. You can't see it very well in the picture but she chose the "Golf" cake!! Nice, I thought maybe the rainbow cake or even maybe the balloon cake but no, no she wanted the golf cake!! Ashlynn waited patiently all day for her "family" party! All she wanted to do was open presents...well of course, isn't that the best part!!! They both got great gift and both where very happy with everything! Thank you family (yes, Parker's you are family) for all your love and support, we truly appreciate and love you so much!

Happy Birthday Ashlynn...

Ashlynn turned 6 on April 15th. Okay, I am going to say it again and again...where does the time go! I honestly can't believe she is 6 already....WOW!! She is getting so big. She is definitely my good helper and a good big sister to her brother, well most of the time!! :) As most of you may know she is a HUGE daddy's girl. If Greg is around I really don't exist! She has him wrapped around her finger...imagine that!! I am so proud of her and all her accomplishments so far...she really is a sweetheart!!

For her friend birthday party she had been insisting on going bowling for months! It actually was a great idea, the kids seemed to have a great time and Ashlynn loved it!! Thanks to my mom and Mandy for helping drive the kids it worked out great!

Easter 2009

Saturday night we did our traditional coloring of the Easter eggs...or something like that hahaha! Ashlynn couldn't wait to get those eggs colored, she waited patiently all day or should I say when she had realized I had bought the coloring, so about a week!! So much fun!!! So by looking at these pics you can tell we started coloring the eggs, then they had to take a bath break! They came back and finished them up. They were so proud of their eggs and so excited to set them out for the Easter bunny to come and hide them!!!


Easter Morning...
Our church started at 9 am, so we had to kind of hurry through the Easter baskets and finding the eggs so we could get ready for church and "try" to be on time!! The kids where excited to see what they had gotten in their baskets and to find the eggs the Easter bunny had hid!

Easter Dinner...
We went to Quint and Jenn's for Easter dinner. My mom had a Easter egg hunt with all the grand kids. The older boys helped Mitch find most of the eggs. He had a basket full. Jenn also had some more eggs to color, Ashlynn was sooo happy!! Afterward my mom had a scavenger hunt for the kids as well. They went all around, outside and inside until they found the treasure! It was really cute, each family got a big popcorn bowl with a lot of goodies inside!! Thanks mom for everything, we really appreciate all the work you did so we could all have a great Easter together!!

He had it coming...

Mitch is always trying to tease, there is one person in particular that he really loves to tease...that would be his cousin Emmi. He is always pulling her hair and hitting her. He is not very nice. He knows that he is going to get a great reaction from her so he continues to torment her no matter how many times he gets in trouble. Well the other day grandpa Chipman was babysitting Ashlynn, Mitch, and Emmi. I guess she just had it with him, I'm not sure exactly what he did to her this time but she just tore into his face with her fingernails. Grandpa had to put band aids on them because they wouldn't stop bleeding. After he was done crying he kept telling Emmi "I dow care Emmi, I dow care." It hasn't stopped him, he still continues to tease. He just can't help himself!

Happy Birthday Mitch...

Mitchell Gregory Carley is 3 years old today! I can't hardly believe that my baby is 3!! Time goes by so fast. Our little Mitch has definitely brought joy to our family. I can't believe the difference between having a girl and having a boy. I can't believe the mischief that Mitch gets into that Ashlynn never even would have thought of!!
Okay, so I thought I would take this opportunity to share some of Mitch's quotes and some things he likes to do...
First of all he loves to play with any type of ball, preferably a basketball but any will do. He also loves to play trucks, he tells me "I have to go to Colowado wif daddy"! And then theirs the Mitch that loves to torment his big sister and any of her friends that come to play!! He is quite the stinker, but we do love him!!!

I was in the shower and Mitch came in and asks "I have dis mom," its a fun dip. I say no go put it away. When I was done I went to check on him and this is what I found!! He had put his horse in his crib and opened the fun dip and was enjoying some cartoons in his room. Yeah, he listens really good, hahaha!!!

This is Mitch listening to his "apod." He calls it an apod so now he has all of us calling it that too, even his aunt April and uncle Jeff call it an "apod." Ipod just doesn't sound right anymore!!! He sings right along to the songs, its pretty funny.

I don't know what it is about him and putting things in his crib???

Disney On Ice...

We took the kids to see Disney On Ice. We figured it was probably the closest we'll get to see Mickey and friends for awhile!! No but really, it was a lot of fun. The kids had fun despite the picture of Mitch crying...he had a nice cold (that would explain his rosy cheeks and raw nose) :(
Of course Disney is so great to make you feel like you are in Disneyland or even Disney World when they charge you $12 dollars for a snow cone or $10 for kettle pop corn $15 for a plastic sword, you know you are not leaving without all that...right!!! They are good!!! :)
Oh and don't mind the picture of Ashlynn (yes that is Ashlynn down at the bottom) with D-Will and Boozer...you gotta love those Jazz!!!!

February in the Review...

I have been a huge slacker on keeping my blog updated, so we are going to do another review...it seems to work!

Our neighbor Dakota was chosen by the Dream Factory to make a wish. His wish was to go to Florida for the Daytona 500. He is a huge fan! Before him and his family left they had a farewell party for him at Noah's. We had a great time. Thanks Parker's for letting us be apart...we sure love that kid!!!




Valentine's Day...

We had a great Valentine's Day. Greg took me to PF Chang's for dinner and then we went to a movie! Thanks to my niece Allyse she was willing to babysit for us! Ashlynn had a little Valentine dropped off at the door from her "boyfriend" Skip. He left her a stuffed Valentine's dog. She was very excited!!




Emmi's Princess Birthday Party...

My niece Emmi had a princess party at the rec center with Miss Pleasant Grove and all the girls running for Miss Pleasant Grove this year. It was really cute. They did so many darling activities for these girls. They all had a blast!!

After the princess party, we went into one of the preschool rooms and Emmi opened her presents and they all had a cupcake! As you can see we had a little "prince charming" trying to crash the party!!


Happy Birthday Dad...

We celebrated my Dad's birthday with dinner and cake at my house. Us kids gave him a golf club he had been wanting...I guess, I let my brothers handle that kind of stuff!! My mom gave him an ipod shuffle. Oh my gosh, he is definitely not up to date when it comes to technology! First of all he didn't know what the heck it was. After we explained to him what it was and what it did, he couldn't get over the fact that this tiny little device could hold so many songs...he was in awe!! Now he can listen to his Beach Boys while he exercises!





Outside Fun...

It has been so nice to have a few sunny days. The kids have absolutely loved being outside. They especially loved getting to ride their 4wheelers...finally! Mitch is always asking to ride his. So he was so happy when he actually got too!! We had a great day, a lot of the neighbor kids came over and took a turn...they had a blast!! I can't wait for more sunny days to come. I am done with the gray skies and gloomy days...give me the sunshine baby!!!
