Mitch's Field Trip....

Mitch was SO excited to go on his field trip to the Fire Station! He has been obsessed with firetrucks and fireman for a few months. When we would pass the fire station he would tell me he was going to drive the big firetrucks and "mom, you can come too. It will be so fun." He was a little disappointed when he didn't actually get to "drive" one of them at the field trip, but he was still excited to be able to go in one....even if it was for just a second!

Mitch's First Day Of Preschool

Mitch started his first year of preschool on September 8th! I honestly can't believe he is old enough to be going. Wow, time FLIES!!! During the summer I was REALLY nervous that he wouldn't go. He told me he didn't want to go to school and be a big boy. Well, to all of our surprises he went in on the first day with just a LITTLE hesitation and he did great....no crying!!! I think I was more nervous for Ms. Amber his teacher but she "says" she loves him and he is so good....hahaha he's got her fooled!!! ;)

Last month Mitch decided he was going to ride a pop-a-wheelie motorcycle. (Ashlynn's old princess bike that has no training wheels) He would walk beside it holding onto the handle bars, then he would "kind of" try to get on it at times but really couldn't so then he would just make the noise of a motorcycle and pull the front tire up like he was doing a wheelie! So one day I opened the back door to check on him and there he was....riding the "princess" bike! Well needless to say, we took the training wheels off of his "pop-a-wheelie motorcycle" so he looks a little better riding the blue bike instead of the pink one!!! Ever since he taught himself to ride he has done really good, he has had a few wrecks but he jumps up and says "I'm okay mom, I'm okay" then he is back to riding. He goes off curbs, he stands up, he thinks he is just as big as the older kids, which can be scary when he just takes off down the road! The kid is a little crazy, and scares his mom half to death at times!!!

Ashlynn's First Day of First Grade.....

Ashlynn started 1st grade last month.....I can hardly believe it, my first child going all day to school!! She is growing up way too fast!! During the summer she would tell me she was a little nervous about going ALL day! She seems to be having fun though and she likes her teacher, so we are all happy!!!

Lagoon...

So, before summer was OFFICIALLY over the Parker's and the Carley's took the kids to Little America to stay a night and go swimming. The next day we headed to Lagoon. My kids had never experienced Lagoon. I thought it was about time they did!!!

I didn't realize the interesting stuff they had there about the pioneers. Wow, it just boggles my mind how they used to live....I love that kind of history. Greg was quite into reading about the Prophets. I think we could have spent most of the day just in that area!

The bumper car's had to have been THE FAVORITE out of all the rides for the kids!
When it was getting close to closing time this ride didn't have a line....so, the kids kept going on it. I don't know why the worker didn't just let the kids stay on it but they had to keep getting out of the cars, going around to the gate and getting in a new car, and then she would give her spill over and over. By the time it was closing time, the girl had had it....especially with Mitch. He was driving her CRAZY! As his mother, I thought he was pretty funny but apparently she DID NOT!

Greg had to fix something on this Monster truck so he decided to bring it home and show the kids, okay and me how it opens up and to see what is inside. This trailer is awesome. Inside there are three big flat screens, couches and a nice surround sound!!! By the way, this truck is traveling with the Warped Tour!

Thanksgiving Point

My mom had taken a day off of work a few weeks ago and wanted to take advantage of having a little free time. Well...I suggested we take the kids to see the animals at Thanksgiving Point seeming we haven't been there in a long time! Probably not her first choice of things to do on her day off but, she was a good sport and the kids were so happy to have their grandma with them! I invited Tanalyn to come along too! The kids had a great time!!!
